I love being able to take something complicated and simplifying it, and also seeing how happy it makes my students when they finally understand.
My favorite tutoring experience:
Working with a student who needed to take the DAT. Math was his weakest subject, but after a few sessions he scored in the 90th percentile for math.

When I finished explaining a problem to a young girl, she stared at the paper. Then, she looked up, smiled and said, "Oh my god, I actually get it."
